Maggies

Being an ardent admirer of Piet Oudolf's work, we felt incredibly fortunate to be invited to build his Maggies Centre garden at the the Royal Marsden hospital in Sutton. The building was designed by Ab Rogers design and built by Sir Robert McAlpine, and is one of the growing number of Maggies visitor centres being constructed. The centres provide essential independent help and support to those effected by cancer.

Our work involved the creation of land contours, paths and of course abundant planting areas that create the landscape that surrounds the centre. Working on a restricted site with tight schedules had its challenges, however working with Piet was inspirational and the end result has been a reminder on how valuable gardens can be to everyone.
